How does it work?
Bacteria, Ammonia and Denatured Proteins are the principal cause of odor and are found in perspiration. We are perspiring all the time, which is how our body helps to control its temperature. Your perspiration, with Ammonia and Denatured Proteins, immediately bonds to the silver fiber and is rendered Ineffective in causing odor and bacteria.
Antimicrobial: Anti-odor performance. Permanent protection for the life of the garment. Thermodynamic body temperature regulation: SilverMax is effective in BOTH COOL AND WARM CONDITIONS. It reacts to your body conducting heat away from your skin when hot, and reflecting it back when fighting the cold, thus ensuring lasting adaptive comfort in mild to extreme conditions.Moisture Transfer: SilverMax accelerates the movement of moisture through evaporation. As a result, SilverMax apparel allows for increased comfort in both warm and cool weather by minimizing moisture contact with the body. Anti-Static: Provides quiet noise-free movement. In addition, SilverMax will pick up the electrical charge found in nerve endings, which transmit the feelings of pain and discomfort, and dissipate it throughout a greater area, resulting in more comfort. This is most prevalent in feet where we have over 7,000 nerve endings and can have tremendous foot discomfort. SilverMax will also increase blood flow and is especially noticeable in our socks. Permanent: SilverMax is irreversibly bound to a polymer so it becomes a physical part of the fiber. With proper care, SilverMax's™ performance does not diminish over time. SilverMax has been tested for more than 250 washes with virtually no reduction in performance. Safe & Natural: Environmentally safe, SilverMax is made with pure silver, a naturally occurring element. There are no chemicals, no loose silver powder or silver particles and no fear of toxicity. Catalysts: The hotter and wetter the environment, the more effective SilverMax becomes. This is perfect because bacteria are more prevalent in these environments. Reflectivity: Silver has an infrared (IR) rating of greater than 95%, the highest of any element. That means over 95% of radiative energy that contacts silver will be reflected back to its source. SilverMax minimizes radiative heat loss by actively reflecting the body's energy back to the skin.
